1-on-1 Skills Development

Our 1-on-1 Intensive Training is second to none!  It’s designed for the athlete who wants to take it to the next level.  We offer a 60 minute intense session designed specifically for the player.  Evaluations are done to see where improvements can be made and then a plan is developed accordingly.  Based on the assessment, additional development can include but not be limited to enhancement of skills,  ball handling improvement, correction of shooting form and accuracy, footwork and balance, agility, mental preparation and focus.  Our goal is to have an elite athlete and overall well rounded player.

  • Physical literacy
    Hooper’s Clinic knows the importance of physical literacy, especially for a kid before a child hits puberty. It involves the building of skills, knowledge, and behavior to lead an active lifestyle. Basketball training at Hooper’s Clinic helps them develop their physical literacy, which ultimately helps them manage a wholesome and energetic life and make better and healthier decisions.
  • Muscle development
    Basketball is an intense sport that forces your entire body to work out throughout the game. From sprinting, jumping, and dribbling to swiftly shooting, continuous movement results in players’ increased endurance and muscle development. For young kids, this is a great starting point to developing excellent energy levels, even in intense situations, aerobic capacity, and muscle development. Bear in mind that many of the training techniques and drills that young kids undergo also produce muscle development, making them stronger kids.
  • Sportsmanship
    Young kids aren’t born and won’t magically turn up with good sportsmanship. At Hooper’s Clinic, kids are taught to win/lose gracefully after every game and to take responsibility for their own performance.
  • Social development and teamwork skills
    They will be surrounded by expert coaches who can serve as mentors and role models. Participating in basketball teams allows children to support teammates, work together with different personalities and players of diverse backgrounds.
  • Discipline
    Discipline is vital in basketball training. At Hooper’s Clinic, your child will learn from a young age that they need to abide by rules and regulations and maintain discipline in their personal lives to succeed in basketball. They will learn to take direction from mentors, trainers, and coaches without getting personally offended or defensive.
  • Improved confidence and self-esteem
    At Hooper’s Clinic, we work on building the child’s confidence and self-esteem. Basketball is a perfect sport that helps with that. We boost their confidence instead of allowing them to toss in self-pity. We are more concerned about their well-being, physical and mental being.

1-ON-1 TRAINING POLICY & PROCEDURE

  • Be sure to confirm ALL dates when scheduling
  • You are allowed to reschedule no more than ONCE for 4 week session and TWICE for a 10 week session 
    • any missed sessions more than this will be forfeited
  • Advance notice of at least 2 hours must be given to reschedule a session
  • If running late, training will still END at scheduled end time
